The Vandoren V16 was developed in 1993 to provide American jazz musicians with a reed that is more brilliant and percussive than the Vandoren JAVA. This reed features a thicker tip than the Vandoren Traditional along with a longer pallet. A favorite of jazz player Phil Woods.
