1982 Selmer USA model 164 (Omega) Tenor Saxophone #830188
This Selmer Tenor Saxophone is in mint condition and has been recently overhauled. Made in Elkhart, In. by the same craftspeople who were adjusting and engraving the Selmer Paris Mark VI and VII at the time. This horn plays far better than any comparable modern horn for the money. It's got the great ergonomics of a classic Selmer and a full centered tone that can be mellow if you want but brightens up considerably when pushed. It presents in truly fantastic condition with almost no missing lacquer and no evidence of major repair except for re-soldering of a key guard post on the bell. The neck is in equally great shape with no evidence of ever being pulled down. It comes in the original OEM case which has a few taped tears but still lots of life. Best of all, it received a pro overhaul and custom set up by the folks at SaxQuest in June of 2023. Perfect for an advancing student or double. This one won't last long.
